1117-WINDSOR CT-006: Narcotic Technician

Job Responsibilities:
SCA Pharmaceuticals, a rapidly growing company and nationwide leader in Outsourced Sterile IV Admixture products is seeking a detail-oriented individual to fill the position of Narcotic Specialist.

The Narcotic Technician is responsible for maintaining documentation related to the acquisition, disposition, and inventory management of controlled substances.
Maintain perpetual inventory of finished products
Assists in maintaining inventory of raw drug product
Assists in narcotic schedule II and List I chemical quotas from the DEA annually and update, as needed.
Assists in reporting acquisitions, dispositions, and inventory of Schedule II and List I chemicals to the DEA through YERS and ARCOS, as required
Assists in coordinating the reverse distribution of controlled substances for destruction, including drug waste
Maintain appropriate record keeping of shipped narcotics (hard copy 222 and electronic 222)
Coordinate with Shipping personnel to ensure accurate and timely delivery of finished goods as needed

Other duties could include at times:
Identify, communicate and solve problems to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety objectives are met
Identify and assist in implementing ideas for continuous improvement, safety, and training
Monitor and ensure appropriate downtime and efficiency information is logged accurately
Other clerical duties, as needed, to facilitate operations

Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in applicable business or science related field
Ability to focus and have a consistent high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook and the ability to use enterprise software
Must have a strong understanding of professionalism and responsibility

Physical / Safety Requirements:
Must be able to lift, push/pull, and carry up to 35 pounds
Must be able to sit or stand for over 7 hours per day, including constant sitting for up to 4 hours at a time.
Duties may require overtime work, including nights and weekends
Use of hands and fingers to manipulate equipment is required
Clean criminal background record and drug testing per DEA requirement.
